Quick Overview

The Imbros Gorge is situated parallel to the Samaria and it is the second longest canyon on the island and is 8km long While not as well known as the famous Samaria Gorge, it is a true natural beauty and offers an easier hike that will take most hikers not more than 3 hours. Still you will have to calculate a challenging walk in stony environment.
After the walk the bus will take you to the beautiful beach nearby from the Fortress of Frangokastello, where you can swim and relax or have lunch in one of the taverns. Also a visit to the fortress is possible (optional). This hike is also suitable for children.
