Kaiki Corfu Shopping (Afternoon)-the harbour of Kassiopi

Quick Overview

Evening trip - Departs Imerolia 16:15 hrs Return – arrive at Imeolia 22:40 hrs
Sailing from Imerolia your cruise to the picturesque capital of Corfu will take approximately one and a half hours on our spacious comfortable boat.
The cruise will take you passed the harbour of Kassiopi, along the north east coast, famous for its luxury villas and beautiful scenery. Looking inland across the olive-clad slopes cast the eyes upwards to the highest peak of Pantokrator. On our approach to Corfu town we sail close to the island of Vidos.
Mooring at NAOK, below the Old Fortress, it is only a few minutes walk into the pedestrian centre of this historic town.
Corfu was designated a UNESCO heritage site in 2007 thanks to its varied historical sites, especially the two fortresses.
There is a myriad of shops selling some of Corfu’s best souvenirs from leather goods and furs to ceramics and jewellery. The Liston is the place to be seen - smart coffee bars line the street overlooking the old fortress, the Palace of St Michael and St George and of course, the cricket pitch. The Liston is where you sit, watch and be seen whilst relaxing, soaking up the atmosphere with a cold beer or perhaps a Corfiot ginger beer !
For those more interested in the sites, than shopping, you will not be disappointed. You can enter both the Old and New Fortresses; be respectfully dressed to enter the Church of St Spiridon with its tall red campanile; work your way into the old town area to find Campiello and the beautiful Venetian well standing proudly in the square
There is a proper and new fish, fruit and veg market located just outside the walls of the New Fortress.
The British cemetery, with a garden full of wild orchids in spring, is a peaceful place however, with close inspection the headstones tell the tale of the chequered history of Corfu.
The Archaeological museum just off Garitsa Bay behind the Corfu Palace hotel and the Museum of Asian Art is located in the Palace of St Michael and St George – both worth a visit.
You will have about 3 hours to browse before setting sail for your leisurely homeward journey.
On our return journey we will first sail south to show off Corfu’s most famous landmark – Mouse Island. This is a perfect chance to see this picturesque island and take an album-full of photos before turning for home.
