Jeep Safari in Zante Island
- "100% Traveler's Rating"
There is no better way to see hidden parts of Zakynthos than Jeep Safari.
Your jeep guide/driver pick you up from your resort and take you on a journey of discovery. There are many historic and scenic stops en route and you will hear all about the history, culture, churches, monasteries and many other great facts about the island.
The first stop, passing by the village of Lithakia, is Kiliomenos. Here you have the opportunity for a short coffee break before heading to a couple of small traditional villages (by passing the monastery of Yperagathos) like Loucha and Giri, which are surrounded by a lush landscape with pine and olive trees. Driving totally off road we will reach the highest point of Zakynthos Vrachionas. Enjoy the stunning view of the island. Continuing our trip mostly off road we will reach another traditional village, where we have a lunch stop for around 1h (optional). Another interesting sight will wait next to discover, the monastery of St. Georgios Krimnon, which was established in 1535 by the monks Makarius and Varlaam Beletis. Next on our trip is the famous view over the Smugglers Bay. Take some pictures of this magnificent view. Driving up to the north of the island through the village Vollimes you will get the possibility to make a boat trip to the Blue Caves (optional/ not included) or alternative you can refresh in the crystal clear water of Makris Gialos. Last stop on our tour is a visit of an Organic Farm. It is a family run farm with a variety of local handmade products, waiting to be tested. Around 16:30 will be the return to your resort.
